Hoshino, Me o Tsubutte - Vol. 10 Ch. 79 - I Want to Become Superman

I like how it doesn't even try to explain how she managed to lead him to a love hotel and ended up straddling him. Literally cut to next scene, girl trying to take off her and his clothes in a hotel. This is directly after we see Kobayakawa trying to call customer service about alcohol being in coffee and questioning Hoshino's actions. Yeah, so he just lets it all happen while he's dragged around. Just in case that wasn't obvious, I'm being sarcastic and saying that this is bad.

Last chapter was a disaster because they literally ret-conned a bunch of crap to shove harem down readers' throats. This chapter at least made sense considering character personalities, but you can see how this series has slid down in quality.
 
@nbhstcqbvvpmacjrmv Honestly, it feels like the author is ready to end the series but doesn't know how... it's quite common for the end of a series to suck because the author gets loose ends but doesn't know how to pull it all together... endings are often the hardest part of a series...
 
Man I can't believe we're here, it was literal years ago I had these pages spoiled from the rates with no context.

I can really see why this series got such a bad rap later, never the less thanks for translating!

They don't end up together? That's pretty common for high school relationships.

I do agree that the writing does take a dive as this manga goes no, but I think some are overreacting to what happens.

Anyways, I do think he's a good guy to not try and push for more especially when she, in this moment, isn't doing such outta love, but because of insecure reasons. A pity she thinks so negatively of herself too.
 
@deathmailrock tbh, that's why I think planning the ending is the first thing someone should do and work their way up to it as well as working back from it. From my experience, beginnings are the hardest even if I have an end goal in mind.
 
I know people say that it gets bad because -

. They break up. But the ending looks like it implies they get back as adults. What REALLY sucks is that it looks like MC just ruins his relationships with everyone else too.....
 
@TheGodEmperor Honestly, the issue with that is as you write, things change... even if you have an ending in mind, while you are writing a story, you got to try to fit it with that ending... and in the end, executing it would be difficult. I think often times, authors do have an idea of how they want to end a series... but, it has to fit the story you wrote... and as you write, things change. Humans aren't robots that use math to write a story that would just fill in from the beginning and the end... in fact, often times, authors try to get the original ending they wanted, but it doesn't work because of how the story happened.

And while a beginning is hard, if the beginning fails, then you don't continue the story.. it doesn't start... simple as that... and you can revise the beginning as much as you want before you finally release it... but a story that you write, while the train is moving is different.
