Matsutaka becomes so much more of an interesting character when she drops the facade and is just a total jerk to people like Kanou. This was a pretty great chapter cause it showed that when she stopped dressing like a gyaru all of a sudden everyone's interested in her because there very surface level shallow people which this manga has shown again and again.

It does make what Kobayakawa and Hoshino are doing stand out as really shitty though. He knows that two other girls like him but instead of being upfront he keeps his relationship a secret and doesn't allow them to move on or deal with it.

Ah yes, background teens being superficial cunts, MC being a mindless tool constantly hurting everyone because of his lack of a spine and a generally awful story that ignores the obvious best and most popular female character, though I guess I wouldn't want her to end up with such a tool of a protagonist.
