Only God is "Alpha and Omega", and Jesus - who is God himself - proclaimed he will return the same way he left, which is on a cloud. So this scenario is not possible.
Just something I want to say.
I don't know what's stranger: an interpretation of Revelations as a sordid manga drama, or a person deciding this story was not Biblically accurate enough for them.
