The kiss could've actually happened. They hinted that actions in reality could affect dreams. The in-dream comic was about a senpai that starts with an uninvited long and deep kiss. And the last page has Senpai smirking at MC's reactions.

Put those together and you would see the possibility that Senpai kissed MC-kun in his sleep, which led to that specific dream.
