not really, it’s a common trope in these types of series to bring in the random trap

- harem/romcom logic

so I proceed with caution when I see a character that has traits similar to the new girl as I’m sure most harem/romcom vets do as well
....doesn’t help that most of this genre is FILLED with the same recycled garbage and trope are usually easy to spot from a mile away, we just happened to be wrong this time
