I'm actually glad for that father's attitude. "There's no parent who doesn't love their child". Wrong. People need to take off those rose-colored glasses and see reality.
And if the father's a piece of shit, better that he ACT like one, so she can see it and move on.

Otherwise she'd have been miserable for much longer.
