I shouldn't have read the comments...
For those that haven't read the pre-serialization and don't want to get spoiled the ending, I recommend skipping the comments on this one since almost every comment here mentions it.
The good ol' "you can't love if you don't love yourself" quote.
@throwthedice Pretty much. Commenters in this site like to assert their dominance by spoiling things for no reason. It happens in any title with a source material.
More like a shorter version of the current story. The changes and fleshing out of their characters means it’s possible the ending will be different, but will probably end the same way.
Hopefully they get along well afterwards in this version!
Kek yeah I'll mention the og oneshot too, but goddamn do I wish this ends that way too now. This just won't work as it currently is, and the story could be super good with how it has developed and go for a more real approach to relationships. Hell I don't even like love stories most of the time so a bittersweet ending with how the story has gone here could make this really damn good.
We've only had hints about the trauma Saeko suffered in middle school. And now, it turns out to be this bad. Expect more convoluted drama from her as she beats around the bush.
I feel bad about Saeko. She's aware of her flaws and problems but she can't do anything about it. I feel like she's ashamed of what she is and just lets herself get trapped in that head space. Not like she can do much about it, trauma's such a nasty thing to deal with on your own. I just hope that if they break up that she would at least get to be happy in the end.
