Hyakunichikan!! - Vol. 2 Ch. 14

The dude can't assemble a small rabbit cage? He really is hopeless. If it required welding, I'd understand it, but it probably only takes a screwdriver. He's shamefully useless.

@Kaarme people have trouble doing stuff they've never done before it doesnt make them useless....bt then again you're a rabbit cage expert with knowledge of every rabbit cage out there so i guess you're right

I dont understand, why would he take on a pet to take care of (for the first time at that), when he is a high schooler, and has already been tasked with taking care of a 6 yo kid.

I really wanted that rabbit arc to end, for it to go away, I guess its going to stay.

and pls dont add characters if you're not gonna use them as much

@krispy
You actually think any manufacturer would make and market a rabbit cage for home use that would require special expertise to put together? Your view is quite narrow if you think that's how business works. Sure, I might have a bit more skill in that area than many others, but nothing to be really proud of. Perhaps you are one of the people who are baffled by Ikea furniture assembly for real, not as a joke? What this chapter ending showed is actually not a lack of skill or talent (since little is needed), per se, it's a lack of willpower. When he didn't immediately realise how it's done, instead of figuring it out, he gave up. That's the useless part of him.

@Kaarme not everything that seems easy to you is automatically easy for everyone else....people have trouble with the simplest things and thats just how life is but again you're right if they have trouble with something that u consider ease then their useless....and ive never bought from or seen an ikea so no im not one of those people...damn u on a real high horse man

@krispy
The first time in my life I've been told I'm on a high horse if I think any person with a normally operating body (no Parkinson's, for example) is capable of holding a screwdriver. In fact if anyone is told they can't even hold a screwdriver, that would be an insult. But whatever.

In my standards, if car owners cant do their own oil or brake pad change, they are quite useless.

@Kaarme (& anyone else complaining about a high schooler's insecurities)

He's not putting together a rabbit cage bought from the store, he's putting together bulk cage parts (meant for arbitrary sized cages like you would buy wood to build a treehouse) bought from the equivalent of a dollar store, aka cheap and likely a pain to link together without sufficient dexterity. As someone who enjoys DIY, I found nothing strange about his difficulty ?.

Remember that this is a society too where doing something you have no training in is considered immodest, so trying something new for the first time becomes a bigger hurdle because, what if you do something wrong and hurt the poor bunny??

@Epithetic
Seems like pretty straightforward elements to me, if you look at the panel. He already partially assembled the thing (whether it was correct or not). He wasn't lacking tools, either. If he had needed a hex key, which is typical for such stuff, but had only regular slot/cross(/phillips) screwdrivers, I'd have been more forgiving.

I also enjoy DIY, and I indeed found his attitude sad. I don't quite get your point about the society. Japan is a country of engineers like Germany, by all accounts.

Never mind, the pages started working again while I was checking them elsewhere
