The anime was really good, it's a shame it didn't get more seasons.

Reminds me a lot of the Encyclopedia Brown books I used to read when I was a kid. Minor mysteries, rather than the typical murder series.

i'm glad someone picked up the series, i was very fond of the anime. just a sweet chilling (energy preserving xd) story. too bad Houtarou was too cowardice on the last episode, but maybe we'll get more from the manga!

For anyone interested I think that starting this month the manga is supposed to start adapting post-anime content if anyone wants to scanlate it~

The June issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine additionally started a "new series" for the manga featuring the students as second-year high school students. The manga will not appear in the magazine's July issue and will return in the August issue.

@francismcin the new chapter is the opening of volume 5 of the novel, and the anime adapts volumes 1-4 pretty much perfectly. There's not really a need to spend effort scanlating the missing chapters since you can watch the subbed anime and see it anyway, if the anime had one more episode then it would start out the way this chapter did.
