I'm so confused. I know that when he found her she was traveling alone, but this isn't the city, it the wilderness. Water and food are a different problem there.
Then again, she hasn't encountered any beasts, and I guess there was a time skip and she has learned magic.

Ugh, my least favourite romance trope; the strong willed and spunky girl becomes weak willed and completely dependent on a man and nothing gets accomplished without him. Why is she so obsessed with him? Because he offered her a job and good salary for her rare magic?
