welp, looks like even the narration calls them Oda-san's "sister". Geez. I mean, the character is literally and explicitly trans, no "hey they just like crossdressing we're gonna dance around the issue." It's just incredible that somehow the author got it through his head to write an explicitly trans character into a manga that keeps bringing up gender issues, but then he goes on to disrespect their identity in even the narration.

@Vainfire author is Japanese, so don't expect him to have the same exact value and terms usage as you (wherever you are from) when it comes to LGBTQ. though I do think author still respects trans in his own way. also while she is indeed trans, she was still legally a woman.
