oh my god, that miscommunication with the princess though.... considering how my social skills are basically the exact same with the MC (minus the intelligent military talks and with an additional 200g of rambling when Current Interest is mentioned) that is basically my biggest fear illustrated;;; and considering what a classmate told me a few years ago, its probably what happened too;;;;;;; aaaaah MC im cheering so hard for you!!!

I don’t think the author is setting up the dad to 180. I think the blonde is going to manipulate him the way she manipulates everyone and set up instances where he thinks he’s witnessing the FL betraying him. We’re seeing he’s just as awkward as his daughter, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he was even more easily manipulated considering how little time he spends with his kids anyway. And it’s possible that FL’s memory isn’t 100% correct. Like how the princess sees one thing, but in the reality it was something else. There might have been more happening than the FL could see because she’s so bad at reading people and situations.
