Hmm, pretty refreshing approach to the usual otome trope, I like it so far! And I'm all for a "plain" female MC for once, she looks so cute with that fluffy hair!
@Cernunnos To be fair, the most he did was hold her hand, and he wasn't rubbing shoulders or trying to get any closer than that. He simply talked with her while she waited for a carriage. She even admits that she calmed down after a while thanks to him. Maybe someone did the same for him when he was upset or unwell and thought it was the thing to do when you wanted to help someone feel better when they're unwell. Wouldn't be surprised if someone held his hand while he was sick in bed and associated that time with this.
WOAH i actually love how she goes through a period of shock and sadness after realising she died. That's realistic, I like this <3
But girl, aren't you a bit toooo naive to allow a boy you just met to hold your hand?
went to read the novel as soon as i was done reading this chapter lol it was pretty nice and honestly, im super excited to see how they'll handle some stuff!!
i also hope the manga fleshes out some things a bit more
I read the novel a while ago and I remember that there was some confusion in the English translation. I think the translator of the novel accidentally misinterpreted Lila's (the MC of the otome game) gender for the first few chapters, which made for a tad confusing narrative in the long run. I'm glad this isn't the case in the manga, but if you intend to read the novel...
Lila is a girl.
