I loved Chapter 1 of this manga so much that I went and read the novel (but didn't finish it because I read a sad, awful spoiler).

Having said that, the manga feels a bit rushed, tbh. They could have taken more time in the Garden, or more time with Katerina/Bern/Lizzie. Oh well. Still like this sm. :)

Also, am I the only one who thought that Older!Katerina looks so much like Iris from Duke's Daughter? They look almost like twins, lol.

I enjoyed the novel for how sweet and chill Bern and Lizzie were as a couple. Most of the romantic drama was external, not from conflict in their relationship. I hope the manga keeps that same vibe.

Why do they have thanksgiving in a fantasy world. They have pilgrims who travelled to a new land and met/killed the local population?

@flavor25 America isn't the only country that celebrates Thanksgiving and the pilgrims didn't create Thanksgiving, thanksgiving is just a harvest festival. America acts like its a new thing the pilgrims made when they "discovered" America but the pilgrims were just carrying on traditions they had in Europe in their new settlements.

What I don't get is why this world has it every 5 years? Harvest festivals usually happen every year to celebrate the past and/or new harvest.

That 5 year thing is odd. It makes more sense to have it yearly to give thanks for the year you’ve had. 5 years is too much. It would be hard to be thankful for things you don’t even remember
