Unless the LN version changes things up, the enemies in the WN have always been evil majin-worshipping vampire groups. Author doesn't stray from their established formula.

Only thing that changes are the different friends and allies that will join the anti-vampire team.

@Geohie that stone is something they want a lot of, not just a single stone, it's used in the medallions all the lords have, and the magic tool that removes barriers/blessings. If I understood what they are saying, then the original method for making the stone, involved summoning a Dark God, and that required a lot of sacrifices, plus some of that forbidden ham. Makes no sense to kill your golden goose, after a single egg.

@CountryMage the girl parents already explained it, some month ago the vampire grow impatient suddenly and tried to do something more drastic, i think this tied with how last arc Luck just destroy one of high vampire and his evil plot so other vampire end up in panic and do this
