@cor3zone: yeah, but on the other hand it doesn’t matter how it’s chopped up, because if the story is good there’s never enough of it at a time. Only bad comics are released faster than you want to read them. I’ve been annoyed at Girl Genius for years because it only updates 3 full-sized pages a week, MWF. I freely admit that it’s unfair for me to be annoyed, because they could be releasing ten times as much and I would still want them to go faster.

@cor3zone Blame the publisher, not the author; the way I understand it, manga authors have very little actual control over their series unless it's super popular. Look at all the good series that get axed just because they're not popular mega giants (I get that the magazines they're published in have limited pages, but it's saddening that good stuff gets the axe while generic hot blooded shouting protagonist that powers up through his nakama gets to run for 600 chapters), hell, look at Mahou Sensei Negima and how the first 20-ish chapters feel so out of place compared to the rest of the series, solely because the publishers wanted Akamatsu to pen the next Love Hina while he wanted to do a fantasy battle series.

@Vincentius Dude you scared me, made me think this was already axed. Ive read those before and it really sucks to start something not knowing it never ends. Recently read the manga about the girl who fights food. Did not see the status until after i found out in the comments 50 chapters in.

@Merilirem Sorry; wasn't intentional. I was just projecting a little when thinking of series like Pretty Face, Mx0, Psyren, and others, all of which were pretty good and all of which got cancelled simply for not being popular enough. Some get the chance for a somewhat acceptable ending, while others just... Disappear. Like Zombie Dust (though, admittedly, that one was created while the author was in mourning, so I don't blame him for not staying in that state of mind, but it was the first one I could think of off the top of my head).
