So far, i think ain is not romantically in love with his step mom.. He might be just experiencing being loved unlike before.. For now, he appears as someone as a potential rival for his dad, but i think it's more like getting the FL's attention or affection rather seeing her as a romantic interest in a sense, though it's a bit scary to think that characters like this might have a tendency to manipulate and have a tendency also to be obsessive i guess???
