@Herially Ironically I believe in that case the mom would have treated Estelle better. If Estelle indeed was her own child, only unwanted, it would explain the gruesome treatment. If Estelle instead was an investment meant to be sold to Castiello at a suitable time, surely she would have got a bit better treatment, even if still cold, to make sure she actually survives until the transaction. As it was, it wouldn't have been strange for her to catch some common disease and drop dead because she was living so poorly.

It's nice that Anne finally got a name, a home, and a goal for her life. However, I wish they would have mentioned that the Duke was taking MC to the Spirit Stone mine and why. It's like settled that Anne is going to be MC's wizard and then for no reason MC is going with Duke and guard into the mine. Why are they going into the mine and how did they decide to go in the first place?
