It's quite an annoying arc indeed with nothing happening and whatever is happening being hidden. Emiel really feels super off. "I don't want to tell you why every single person tells you i suck but trust me". I mean sure i do believe he is on her side in the story but i see no reason to hide it and I am sure i will be dissapointed when we find out. And for that reason MC glossing over it is kinda triggering. Honestly kind of understandable though, seing as apparently everyone just keeps secrets from her in a strange attempt to protect her i guess? Because lack of knowledge is her best asset right now. To top that off we have sudden spirit superpower which feel like they could fix whatever and the risk is kind of low honestly. If she overuses it she has to spend eternity with elf guy, who seemed like a decent person, and some spirits.

this chapter has some serious mistakes. have you been rushing? we always appreciate your work but please dont feel the need to pump it out if youre not ready to! take the time you need! stay hydrated dont burn yrselves out.

After the mage tower plot, this story has been a mess. Coming back to it after putting it on hold and it's still a mess. It's not fluffy enough for slice of life, not enough betrayal for drama and not enough plot progress for action/mystery. This just feela like the lackluster parts of all 3 of these things. Everytime I think we're going towards one of these and get some flow going, it get's cut off.

I'm putting it on hold one more time, if it's still a mess after that I'm dropping this.
