Sexuality is a spectrum after all, and I've heard plenty of stories where guys have come onto lesbians without taking it too far at all, and some of them have even reciprocated. At the end of the day, it's all about respecting the other person's consent, whether that's in the moment with your lover who just isn't in the mood or in the long term with someone you're trying to seduce who tells you in no uncertain terms to back off, for whatever reason.

Sure. Don't really agree with the whole spectrum thing, but that's not the point. When i thought about people flipping their shit, what i specifically had in mind were the last ten or so pages of that chapter. Because of the whole body muscle/fat ratio difference, as well as overall mass discrepancy that on average exist between genders - most men have the ability to physically overpower most women. I'm actually all for the double standard in that particular scenario ; it's just that the type of people who usually would've been making fuss about it, in general tend to ignore (or deny) differences between sexes.
