I personally don't know what exactly that position is but for one thing I'm quite sure, it's not a legit one and not something like an aide or some smart position XD

But yea so the hint so far is
venting > if you know what the word vent means if not it means to complain like how you go up to your friend like "OMG YoU knOw WhaT HaPpenNed tO mE TodaY?"
companion > A friend...aka. some one who listen to your bs
