It's still kinda weird seeing tapioca being refereed as a sweet drink, when tapioca here on Brazil means this:
iu

I really wanna try bubble tea thou.

@kp114330 Yeah, technically is the starch. Here on Brazil 'Tapioca Starch' is called 'Polvilho', Tapioca is the name of that dish I posted the picture. When cassava was exported to Asia the easier name was Tapioca (it is my hypothesis at least).
On other note, on Asia do you use the Starch to make other dishes, or only that jelly like dessert?

@daishishi I dunno if they've done anything else with tapioca starch yet specifically, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have or start to later. Some Japanese desserts come to mind for being made similarly to what that shell looking thing you posted seems like. You might be able to make some differently flavored dango or such with the tapioca starch instead of rice flour, for instance.

@daishishi we use tapioca for a lot of desert especially chewy ones. We also use it to thicken sauces. Vietnamese che also uses some tapioca too

The word "tapioca" comes from a brazilian native language, the tupi language, so I guess that something is missing... The other countries just got the name and mess up the terms. Tapioca is a brazilian food

just a note, on the last page when the vendor says 'girlfriend' she actually says 彼女さん which can mean both "her" and "Girlfriend". I took the liberty to make it girlfriend to make it easier to understand why Tsuyu got more embarrassed.
