ok so from what I understood in those last few panels, the emperor (and the imperial fam) has the "wrong" intentions and mc has the right intentions. elcot is the method and here she's asking if he's gonna be the method (loyal) to the emperor and therefore will be the wrong method to mc and cant be trusted by her OR he could be the right or "alternative" method for her and swear his loyalty to her specifically instead of the imperial family... damn that was so confusing lmao
