I think that the main problen with inviting nadricka to the ball is that the princess keeps forgetting that no matter how sweet he is a slave. Also she keeps making decisions like she's still in a modern democracy instead of a feudal monarchy.
This country seems to have a extreamly ridged class structure and authoritarian philosophy. The original princess got away with a lot of bullshit but it all still fit in the frame work of the class structure. Most of her lovers were low status nobelmen. While her 3 main concubines were made up of 2 high status nobelmen and a Prince from a fallen country.
That way if she ever accidentally had a kid , more than likely the child would have nobel blood. Since the main goal for young royalty is to produce a heir so that the empire doesn't have to worry about future succession. This is why it is considered such a privilege to be a concubine. Also why no one cared that she was having sex all the time. (She originaly met her demise because she did drugs and messed with underage slaves)
the previous Emperor was unable to have kids luckily he had a young niece to take up the role of heir. Meaning before she was made crown princess the country might have been a bit unstable. That probobly won't work a second time.
Nadricka staus in the country is at the very bottom. Normaly in a monarchy a slave would NEVER be any were near Royalty sexualy or at least it would be kept private . More than likey Nadricka was supposed to be nothing more than a side piece who she kept around because he was pretty. That people only tolerated cause she was surrounded by noblemen. That's why the Palace servants used to bully him. Nadricka is considered beneath them
Now she completly got rid of her "royal guard" aka her lower nobel men lovers and no longer engages sexually with her high class concubines. Not only that she secretly tried to set free the fallen Prince who was her biggest poltical prize.
If she takes him to the banquet is like announcing to the world he's her main lover. People might not show it too her face but their definitely going to freak out and maybe even conspire against her. Like the idea that their is even a chance a random slave or his children could become the next Emperor would not go well at all.

ok i'm starting to get a bit worried here...
- wth did the crazy princess do to hesse for poor hesse tp have that reaction?
- 'custom' eyes are dangerous to have in a manga. is hesse becoming more of a character? and why does she suddenly remind me of yuriel?
- also, why th does yuriel have the same surname as the princess (in earlier chapters)
- what's with ettsen's face? does he plan to... invite yuriel as his partner to the ball or something?
- aaand i love nadricka, but isn't this kind of an insult to eclot? i mean, it's a party in his honor, shouldn't HE be the princess' partner there? i understand that she pocked nadricka to help her out dhring her first banquet but imo it would have been better to confess to eclot (that she 'lost her memories') and have eclot escort her as an additional 'honor' shown to the victor.
....things are getting complicated. and we disn't even see so much of the scary wolf-baby sieger.
