I'm guessing it's because they see themselves as the creep who doesn't understand social boundaries, and don't understand why Sayu is rejecting such a "nice guy". Literally no other reason why they'd possibly try to defend that douche, that behavior is unacceptable in any social situation.

She literally admited to MC, that in this world you have to give something precious to you, to get something in return (A roof in this case). She is well aware of the fucked up world she live in. @broadsword80 I'm gonna bet it's cause they are still young themselves and never had a girlfriend or had sex and don't understand anything beyond their own selfish impulse so they see her having sued her body/willing to do so "easily" in the past so wondering why she won't just do it now cause "she was fine before" but ignoring that she likely wasn't really fine with it, but didn't feel she had any other choice while running away.

Some people are just completely dumb. And they see this guy as "he's just trying to be reasonable with her and he's already been in her, so clearly it's fine if he gets to be in her again" when clearly he's manipulating her, and, guess what, just cause a girl might have slept with you once doesn't mean you (not you specifically, but the people with that dumb mindset) have free/the right to access her vagina as if she was a fleshlight or tool for your pleasure....

@Reiito A lot of people can realize one element and be smart about things and fail to account for another. Especially a dumb high school kid lol. So I think it's believable she thought she could just do what she did to get by at the time and run off and not see the people ever again. After all, while Japan might be a "small island" it's also 180 million people so the odds of meeting the person again when you leave the town they live in entirely (remember, he lived elsewhere)? The odds are really low. It's more amazing he moved where she was and got a job in the same place. But that's clearly due to writer's interest to bring up drama.

So I don't have a problem with her mindset in any of this, even if it's frustrating cause she really should tell him no and then talk to Yoshida about it so he can help her. She needs to rely on people more. But, that comes from another of her character flaws she's had the whole time, she is hard to truly trust another. Likely due to abuse from her parents and others back wherever she used to live.
