I'm just kind of baffled how she doesn't think of just running away and leaving the country. Or maybe she doesn't want to lose her aristocrat status? I don't know, running away and having them play a game of actual cat and mouse would have been interesting to see. She's probably seen as a weird lady who probably doesn't run around too much so security around her would be more lax, making running away in the middle of the night a little easier than inflicting self injury. This thought of her trying to injure herself is so fucking stupid tbh.
