I Stole the Male Lead's First Night

I really like FL here, she is kind and not dump.

Recently i got fed up with manhua and manhwa where FLs are always fixated on revenge, they all started out so well but then they all went downhill for the later 3/4 of the story. I dont know why too many readers nowadays like the unforgiving type so much, well the girl here in this manhwa is very forgiving, she is genuinely trying to lead everyone to a happy ending. And she is straightforward when deciding to love someone, I love that about her.
 
wow, I love FL here. i really enjoyed her coming to terms with her feelings for the duke so far but jfc rose....

she nearly kills FL but still has the audacity to be pissed that FL asks her to give up on the duke????? even though she said she'd give anything in compensation????? smh. I'm glad Ripley is such a kind soul, exactly what the duke needs.
 
She's literally giving you a chance at redemption, Rose! Ughhh, so prideful... But alas, poor Ripley, no good deed goes unpunished~
 
I’m a nice person too, and I learned from experience that you gotta be the honest bitch you don’t want to be to get someone off the path of stupid. Even than when that person forces the last straw and still thinks they can pretend to change or just don’t than this is when you drop it. Bad things happen in this world that you can’t control and you have to face the fact that sometimes it can be people you know or seen. Faith is something that is something you care for with time, mine allowed me to not put everything on my self and to believe in people who care for me. This could be MC’s final straw but she didn’t really try before. But she didn’t need to begin with. I hope it doesn’t end badly for her like in another manwha where she was used and killed. That was sad.

I'm still in the earlier chapters and I gotta say it's kind of annoying how the FL is so... hellbent on following the plot. Like, yeah she's essentially stealing the role but even in the novel their love story is very very very different and I doubt the girl would be truly happy in that role. Plus she does actually love the Duke so it's very strange to me that she's so pushy against marrying him when it would be a dream come true for her and ensure the rest of her life is one of luxury...

Feels really stupid.

*And now that I'm caught up to the current chapter I can say it's still stupid, she blamed herself for something she didn't do and almost ruined her entire second life because she was so hung up on blaming herself. It's dumb as hell, I love the romance and the characters but damn if the FL isn't nearly brain dead with how much she blamed herself, she literally didn't do anything.
 
The FL is not my cup of tea, but the villainess Rose is more annoying. She almost kill someone even if it just accident.. but choose to do nothin' like ask for forgiveness first?? Are you right on the head,Rose? The duke can kill Rose for hurting Ripley by simple investigation..and Ripley just too naive for asking her for apologize, by coming to Rose's house. Rose should beg Ripley's forgiveness not Ripley forcing her to apologize.

i can forgive a lot. for example, i can somewhat forgive the duke, even though he took advantage of a drunk woman in order to make her marry him but this is purely because it's fiction and she likes him, i definitely wouldn't let this slide irl. but the shit ripley's done??
she knew, she KNEW that he was traumatised as a little boy when all of his family members died because of him and even blamed himself for it even though he wasn't responsible in the slightest AND STILL DECIDED TO PRETENDED TO ALMOST DIE. i sincerely hope she and him doesn't become an item but since i know they will somehow end up together anyway, i at least hope she will properly apologize to him (cause so far she only spewed some bullshit) and that he will make her struggle in order to be forgiven. definitely she should be the one chasing after him, not the other way around. wow. i'm speechless and angry. if someone did that shit to me, even as a prank, that person would never hear from me again. and before anyone says she had a valid reason to do that, she didn't. she hadn't talked with the duke properly even once. she gets so fired up defending him from bad rumours but at the same time she believes he'll just yeet her head off. her antics maybe cute but that was just nasty and in poor taste. badly done, ripley.
edit: of course everything is resolved a chapter later and there are no real repercussions for ripley:) i love shallow writing. is that supposed to be romantic? not acknowledging one's faults and loving no matter what they do? he literally said "you're different than everyone else so you get a pass" just because of one conversation they had when she was drunk out of her mind and then no real developments at all.

i am expecting and am excited for them to end up together honestly but, although i really wanted things to be ok between the both of them as soon as possible, ripley did NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. which annoys me so much!!!!! i get that the duke may want her again bc (im guessing) he rlly cant find another one like her but man, make the girl work for it!!! like i said earlier, i wanted things to be fine asap but im mad that we👏🏼got👏🏼nothing👏🏼from👏🏼homegirl👏🏼😭 i hope they have a good long talk that lasts at least 2-4 chapters, owning to her mistakes, apologizing, and making it up for the duke. idk what she'll do tho bc what she did was so shitty
 
i've come to realize that whenever ripley has a good idea it doesn't mean anything good :)
get ready for another whirlwind of cringe
