I don't know about everyone criticising him because I have been content with this one so far. It's not psychological, not exactly drama, not exactly romance, not horror too. It's kind of pointless to be honest. But, it has this underground crappy movie charm. The story is silly and stupid, but there's a central motivation to drive the plot forward. It still feels surreal, like his previous works. This, to me is an artistic story. It's just an expression of the mind, with little intention. Works like these are the ones that got drown out from the flood of power fantasy, equally self-serving but devoid of dedicated passion. Chinese comics surrealism used to be a thing before webcomics choose to publish only trendy stories. Korean comic scenes need something like this as well. Their mainstream media feels too clinical, there's no room for the madness that makes art so exciting to watch.
