actually a child assassin sent to kill baby Lucie back then, but faltered after seeing how adorable she was. Her dad caught Luca, but decided to bring him into their fold and use his talents for the family.

Also not sure how the LN differs from the original WN, but I recall a reader review giving several complaints for the WN on Novelupdates.

Many Japanese grammar and spelling errors, author has never bothered to go back and do corrections unlike others (a sign author doesn't take their writing seriously)

Rambling, longwinded writing with too much perspective rehashing; slow plodding pacing. Add with the short individual chapters, and they found it tiring to read overall.

Author has some good plot ideas in some parts, but is too much of a writing/pacing amateur to make it work properly.

Lucie's plot to run away in the future felt illogical to reader, could there have been better options?

That plot has many similar features to the MCs in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC & SC. :3

Given the popularity of the game, I wonder if it had any influence or if they have similar backstories? Hmm…

@Grye based on ^ it wouldn't necessitate that Luca is a yandere. He could be, but it would be the kind that never hurts the MC. Typically, the trope has yan-yans killing their intended love interest if they get betrayed. Some stories have it otherwise. I don't know if it matters. I'd say we need a more definitive archetype since the yandere model has become muddled (unless the Japanese fandom community has more that fit better). Tsun-tsuns tend to fall into multiple categories, but in each the Dynamics are the same. If a yandere is only harsh to others, that doesn't necessarily fit with the larger model in my mind. :3
