I Will Live Freely in Another World with Equipment Manufacturing Cheat

@lemmington you’re never put off by unfamiliar meats? Call me a snowflake all you like but I’m not sure I could eat guinea pig, kangaroo or crocodile and certainly not dog or dolphin. What if someone presented you with grilled gorilla? What if pigs were intelligent enough to wear clothing and use weapons, could you eat them without pause?

@Shirobane
You have to remember this a different world with different morals. Orcs are seen as single-minded killing machines and therefore are not seen as sentient enough to be equal to humans, elves, dwarves, etc.
Touji even said he'll eat the orc meat. He just wished he didn't learn where the meat came from.

Everytime another mangaka writes a rapist orc, a sexy elf, or a blacksmith dwarf, Tolkien rolls in his grave.

@AnimeaddictionIV my point is that he’s not from that world, but ours. I don’t get why so many people think that travelling to another world means characters should immediately start killing, raping and pillaging (or in this case eating sentient creatures) with impugning and without remorse or even pause.

@Shirobane
That doesn't mean he has to stick to our world's morals either. This is a kill or be killed world where the strong survives and the weak get eaten. There's no enforcement to protect the innocent and weak aside from the 'hero' character. Who are you going to call if you get robbed or someone gets murdered? The cops? What cops? Unless there is a dedicated law-enforcement group like in our world, then the only thing one can depend on is oneself.
Showing mercy or morals in this world only shows you are weak in the eyes of the inhabitants here. Unless you have the power to enforce and back up your morals, then you're not going to get very far. And in some cases, you have to take a more pragmatic outlook and be more realistic. Is it wrong for a lion to kill a deer? How about a shark eating that guppy? No, that's just nature. And survival is the number one rule. For the people, they look at a dead orc and say, "Why let that meat go to waste?"
I suggest you read Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skills and How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom. They both give a much more realistic and different approach than the fairy-tale adventure of being summoned to fight the Demon King.
Touji isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but even he realized eventually that sticking to his old world morals isn't going to help him and he has to adapt in order to survive.
Bottom line, orcs aren't seen at the same level as regular humanoids so... anyone for bacon?

@Tartiris As long as it is not something like cannibalism's side effects where one can get INSANELY sick and ill from doing so. AKA an inspection first and eat after, but yea I'd feast upon the corpses of my enemies aswell! WAHAHAHA

MC is super annoying and idiotic
He is so passive on so many levels
It feels like someone with low IQ got transported
He has so many cheats but doesn't try to level? (I mean he literally barely escaped the other country and they might come for him again but is still not choosing to get stronger actively)
He's obsessed with drops and drops but not getting stronger. yes he does not need to level to make money but guess what your dumass was nearly killed by bandits. In addition you saw the party who escorted you died. I mean at that point you would think a semi smart person would think that I need to be able to defend myself.

Hasn't even considered let me hire a party with money I have to ride a bus and level himself
Or let me actively use my summons to fight for me and probably I gain experience.

Dayum, there's a debate about morality (and what MC should've done) below...

I'll add fuel to the fire then!

If you somewhat found yourself "isekai'd", you need to understand first and foremost, the settings of it. If it's a "tragedy", it's best to go "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality, if it's like this kind of world...

Can you at least change your name so the ones who summoned you don't find you? And, y'know, change your looks so it won't be easy for them to track you? Also, he has a lot of cheat skills that can break the common knowledge of that world, he can start his own kingdom (if he's cunning and knows what running a country means) or his own business; he doesn't have to lower himself.

Also, if he can dish out a lot of money, why not hire a group of professional adventurers to take him down the rabbit hole of a dungeon, collect easy exp and materials at the same time? So many solutions/routes to take...

But I can understand people who want to live life slow, frankly I like "slice of life" manga.

(I even read shoujo manga with "reverse harem" troupes.)

@TCCx32
Touji isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and he was basically a 29-year-old freeter with no real plans for the future when he got isekai'd. Think of Golden Boy.
Yeah, he tried hiring an adventurer group and was immediately abandoned to some bandit gang, so I don't blame him for not trying that route again.
Touji wants nothing to do with the hero group and even now they're causing trouble by their careless grinding and causing a flood of monsters to pour over the border.

Dunno where the "slice of life" tag is. It's surprisingly more normal, with some clichés here and there. If you take out the whining about Japanese food and something else I forgot, it'd be better.
MC doesn't exploit his cheat to the max, but he uses it fine. MC levels slowly by himself and needs to register people to his party to grind better. MC doesn't get tangled with angsty teenagers who abandoned him when it suited them. MC gets used in business relationship, but doesn't really need the money since he has his system.
