I have 2 theories -

1. Looks like that guy is gay. He might play tricks by purposely dropped the coins making the fmc thinking that he and mc slept together. I don't remember tho whether MC told him or he knew about the coin things. Might need to reread.

2. He somehow had the connection to the money thingy. Some kind of deity or something.
