@Kayuki the raws literally say "nakama increased" iirc, so its more literal and less colloquial. i personally agree with it, because i dont think english really has a good enough word for the implied meaning, and its just one of those things that unfortunately gets lost in translation.

@ShunZephyr The usual translation of 委員長 in this context would be "class rep" or something along those lines. If you want to be more literal I've also seen in TLed as "chairman". Heck, though it sounds a bit awkward I wouldn't have even objected to "committee head".

But "head committee" is just wrong. It's not even sensible English in this context. As Daviot said it makes it sound like she is herself a committee, which is obviously nonsense.
