Are you kidding? Have you looked at the shit that goes in the entertainment business (and not just in Japan, either)? What little has come out is... highly disturbing. If you really want to see just a mere glimpse into the horrific shit that goes down, look at Corey Feldman's interviews about how his childhood acting career went behind closed doors.
...Now if that was happening to boys... what do you think was happening to the girls? And when it comes to idols in Japan where ranking, sales, popularity and opportunity are everything and a record executive or producer can just kill outright the dream and hard work of a girl by denying her the ability to launch or keep her career by telling her to put out or else... What do you think most of them are going to do? That's assuming that they even get a CHOICE in the first place...
The fact that the Japanese do not take well to scandals and "shame" being brought to people or groups and the desire for everyone - even the victims - to keep quiet about it is even stronger. Sadly, I think what you see here is not only common, but would be extremely gentle and mild compared to what does go down.

Well having that black male picture is one thing, but going to do what she does with the manager is it really worth the threat it presents. Sure the motivation is on another level. But to throw yourself away for that is pretty dark stuff, compared to a somewhat relatable SM fetish couple.
