I have no idea how would this actually works... but dont u feel kind of glad that is Takae living that life and not Marika? Better off for a 10yrs old with a middle age soul inside deal with her family situation. I suppose her mom has her reasons, but nothing justifies neglecting ur children. Cant say if shes really a bad mom or not yet, but she does treat Marika as a burden.
