Loser would be an insult to all the other losers. That guy is way more indecisive than the other harem manga MCs. Rito from to love ru at least had notions of who he really wanted to be with(after some time of course), Keita from kissxsis at least has a bit more brains on who he has preferences on (even though he doesn't know it yet, cuz he is a pure moron), and many others as well are way better than this stupid. If I remember correctly he and his childhood friend were in a relationship at some point which got dissolved by the pact they are all under (product of their stupidity fromgetting tricked by the other girls.

Actually he was never in a relationship with his childhood friend, he just once previously stated that he liked her the best between all the others, though it's currently uncertain if that is true for him now.
Also I get the last part about not being able to call him a loser because I mean because think about.... He suddenly, out of nowhere, gets surrounded by all these cute girls who are constantly throwing their sincere feelings at him and being especially kind and caring towards him, a guy who has hardly done anything for them to care so much about him, so you can't really blame the guy for having a hard time choosing between them while also wanting to find a way to somehow repay them all. I mean put yourself in his shoes
