@brainman i'm not sure whether the mangaka's being pressured to change the tone of the manga to this or that, and in fact i also reread the earlier chapters recently and they ARE pretty damn brutal and screwed up. but i do still think that it's more or less fine, i feel like the mangaka's having plenty of fun with it.
