@Kaarme I feel like I might have said this already but if you get sick from the rain you were already carrying the germs but your healthy immune system made it so you had no symptoms. Once the cold rain weakened the immune system she started showing symptoms.

It's been researched before, using cold ice water and putting peoples feet in it for 20 minutes was the test done during the research.
