Ike Loli - Ch. 29 - Sandwich Biscuit

He just took those cookies out of the oven. Shouldn't he wait a bit to allow them to cool down and harden? Though it's been a couple of years since I baked other cookies than gingerbread. But I've got such a feeling in the back of my head.

@kaarme it'd depend on the kind of cookie, some only need about 1 - 2 minutes of cooling time or some become firm even while they're still warm. Oooor the author doesnt't know how to bake cookies and didnt think about the cooling time. Food for thought :3

There is also the possibility the author does know how to bake cookies but for the sake of the narrative just ignored the cooling time. otherwise the conversation would have been over before the cookies were done.

@imkyo @Granitefish I'd like to think the author actually knows how to make cookies since the ones in the chapter have a pretty nice design, with a hole in the top part for the filling jam to show through. You see such cookies in shops, of course, but it does't mean people would automatically think of making them also at home. This makes me think the author might know a thing or two. I suppose Granitefish's theory might be correct.

This kind of cookie doesn't need a lot of cooling time, just made some recently. A few minutes are enough to pour the jam and stick them together. You have to be more careful if they're still a bit warm, but spreading the jam does work better if they're still a bit warm.

Everybody's talking about baking, and here I am unable to stop thinking those cookies look like they've been shot in the face.

This is how you do a good big brother. Just the right levels of care for his sister without being possessive about it.

holy pickle barrel! He did it again! That's high class restaurant level desserts!
I want a brother-in-law like him!
