I got that feeling too, considering how a lot of these types of series go. I wouldn't say the ending shotgunned that idea, since this is only the second chapter, so there's still plenty of time for things to develop in that direction. Especially if the president is a 3rd year and will graduate, thus possibly leaving that opening for more time between those left behind, but only time will tell.

God, I've read way too many mangas/WNs/LNs/books in general...
