Ikite Kurete Arigatou - Oneshot

welp, i was low key expecting the doctor to replace the son with the clon to let him live, coz u know, but nope
just sad

@breizh I've seen it probably long time ago, don't remember if all, maybe just partly. I remember a character Michael Clarke Duncan played (John Coffey from The Green Mile) being pulled by some people or something.

Wait, wait, wait if you can clone a fully functioning human that has mastery of any language and the ability to comprehend it's own existence so it can ask why it exists why arent you just cloning the needed organs instead of going through all the trouble of making the full deal im deeply puzzled by this.

This is why I love his works, they're so interesting! Everyone should follow his Twitter account. His drawings are so good! Time to time, he also draws cute stuff.

so the kids book house of the scorpion by nancy farmer has this exact premise but its kinda explored more in depth with a greater amount of worldbuilding re: the ethics of sentient clones for organ replacement + peoples justification for their existence its p easy to find a pdf of it online and i highly recommend giving it a read

Aounds like something that would happen in china...oh wait

BTW Iirc organ clones exist already for animals In ezperiments.

those clones are made and raised to be harvested, just like people raised farm animals to be eaten.

there's no need to feel pity for them, it's their life purpose, they did their duty well.

@Idmunster You know how some fast food restaurants talk about how they only use the freshest of ingredients? well, maybe this is the cloning equivalent of that.
"so fresh it still has blood from the corpse!"

It's more depressing when you think about the equivalent in RL (savior siblings).
