While I think the three-way structure worked in the beginning to weave the narrative and themes together, it would’ve probably driven the “punch” more powerfully when Asa does her proclamation by going back to a focused narrative. Either way, the author is SO FRICKIN GOOD in depicting human relationships and normal human conversations
