I would have rather her been more sarcastic at the end of chapter 1 instead of being tearfully grateful. You know, just have her deliver the thank you with a smile on her face and say good riddance those lot of fools to their faces. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth when after all the shit they put her through, they still get a tearful thank you out of her because she's already so done them. But oh well. I guess the author is going for the kill you with kindness route and have them remember her last farewell this way after they find out how two-faced the "heroine" really is. Make those suckers squirm in guilt for the rest of their lives.
