Oh hey another isekai with slavery. Time to read some amusing comments from people virtue signaling and/or with no real understanding of slavery in a historical context. The only better comments are the ones defending women being promiscuous.

as of chapter 1: plot is a patch job, still in the setting-up-the-start phase. Someone said the novel is R18, so hopefully it doesn't end up like Josei+Smut=Classic
 
@AMetroid It's the 21st century the people who are virtue signaling and shit usually only see things as black and white. Slavery is an outdated and inefficient system now, and it's also wrong by our current moral standards, that is the objective truth. however, another objective truth is that it used to be an incredibly efficient and incredibly fruitful endeavor, almost all countries had some sort of slavery, and all 1st world countries nowadays definitely had slavery some time in the past (of course talking about their ancestors).

Now whats the difference between then and now you ask? We now have a lot more intellect based jobs compared to the past, we have a better economic system that lets us afford to not have slaves (although we don't pay most of our workers well lol), and most of all, we have technology that can substitute for the work a slave would do (notable examples would be cranes, tractors, and the track laying machines. these inventions replaced works that were usually done by slaves).

As a novel reader i'll say this series does have smutt. Its few and far in-between and feels a bit random but it's on the stronger side. It's written in the way that you'd find in a 100% pure smutt novel. I'm certain the comic version will simply gloss over it.

The beginning is a bit wonky but the author has some good world building once they get over the intitial stumbling. It has a decent pace and smooth world. The story and pace are very casual, both MC and ML have their own situations that help their relationship bot grow fast but feel natural.

Long summaries of the 2 main characters

MC
MC tripped into the other world at the age of 11. She spend a few weeks wondering alone in the wilderness scared and barly alive. The first person she found showed her sympathy, gave her a meal and bed to rest on, and then promptly sold her off to a slave trader. She's been traded around a bit in 7 years and hasn't been able to really learn about much. Slaves aren't supposed to talk and she had enough trouble just surviving.

After she gets freed she knows she isn't safe since she hasn't been able to learn most of the common sense despite living trapped for 7 years. She lived shortly with the eccentric witch that taught her potion making skill but after the witched passed away she left to try and find a new safer place to live.

She understand the contrary ness of being freed from slavery and buying one herself. She plans on learning worldly knowledge and eventually free him once she knows she's safe. She knows she's simply to easy of a target at present time and needs someone who can't betray her until she's able to stand on her own.

ML
A.K.A. Big ball O trauma. He's a demon which is a race that is deeply reviled in the world. Despite having a human mother he a 100% demon since they only produce pure blooded demons when breeding due to strong inheritance in the bloodline. His mother was a prostitute who had him due to a customer that she found out was a demon after he was born. She spent his early childhood beating him due to the fact no one wanted a woman who had a demon child. After she died he spent his early childhood wondering doing the best to hid he's a demon less he be chased away and beaten.

When he was old enough he became an adventurer. Due to his naturally high abilities that came with his race he was able to climb up fairly high quickly and live well. After some time adventures he was acquainted with did a dragon subigation together. He revealed his race to them and they accepted him. During a later escort mission that resulted in a failure, the party leader tried to robe a noble to gain funds to make up for the fine the had imposed on them for the failure. ML tried to stop them but the group pushed all the blame on him. He fell into slavery as a criminal. His two owners in 5 years beat and starved him. The later being a staidest who loved to torture rare races.

He quickly gets attached to MC when she winds up treating him better than he ever was even as a free person.
