I'm Nearly 30, but This Is My First Love - Vol. 5 Ch. 42

The more ships that get introduced. The more i find them cuter than the previous.
They are all cute tho.

No, he really is just a simple-minded, confusing airhead with too much energy. Don't try to twist it into something else by overanalysing it. Sometimes, surprise surprise, things really are what they seem to be.

I call bs. If he tries make people happy, but ends up being annoying airhead, that means he fails his own objective, right? It only works with people who "ah, I see, you're annoying because you try to liven up things for me. I appreciate your attempts, I'm happy now". Only thing that can make other people happy is the fact that he tries so much. For that they should know it and be glad for it. With everyone else it would just cause irritation.
Feels like I saw previous chapter 2 months ago

No, he's still just annoying. Adding good intentions does not change that fact if nobody is able to realize them and they all still end up seeing him as annoying.

This author really writes based on fiction, because everything in this manga except for that second ship are fucking out of realistic touch.

Feels bad with Kiba. He IS a good guy, but he can't help that HE ALSO IS ubber Annoying.

He genuinely wanted to cheer people up. He just sucks at it. And thats why only very tolerant group of people can stand him (the main cast group). In any case this is quite realistic, he isn't for everyone and he isn't trying to please everyone with all of his might. He tried his best but if it fails then it fails.

i really want to angry to this guy, but then realized it was me all along.

i wasnt sure about this couple at first but i actually really like them now they have a really interesting dynamic lol <3

In response to everyone who still says Kiba is simple-minded and annoying: I agree. He's still simple minded because he still doesn't see that his attempts to divert conversations may usually only cause irritation. Heck, that's why everyone breaks up with him in the first place. Although I may counter with the fact that being irritated at him instead of whatever other problem they had is still essentially fulfilling Kiba's goal in the first place, I do agree that he is still missing the mark a bit in his perception of himself. In the big picture perspective, he really is just a simple-minded annoying guy.

But isn't that more "realistic" anyways? He's completely misunderstanding how others view him. Doesn't everybody do that, at least a bit? He has incredibly good intentions while doing it though, so really, like Hirakawa, I pity him. I realize this is reading in between lines that barely even exist, but imagine: this whole perception of self problem could be a FANTASTIC catalyst for a character arc. This entire chapter would be a red herring making you feel like everything was just fine and dandy, and then later down the road Kiba meets one of his old girlfriends and she just says it like it is. Kiba's self-confidence is destroyed, and then the tables are turned with Hirakawa suddenly having to cheer HIM up.

I hope, but highly doubt that will actually happen. Still, I completely disagree with those who say that Kiba is "unrealistic". With what we've seen so far, he might be the most realistic character of the lot.

Just my two cents.

@Xystus The second couple is the least realistic of all. There's no way a well adjusted young woman would come across a uncommunicative autist and think "hmm, he's so interesting I should date him."

@sad_historian why wouldn't she? she went through numerous relationships before and now there's a guy who she thinks is interesting because he's not like the others. imagine thinking the second guy is autistic when we have a 30+yo virgin who can't even kiss his gf on christmas eve.

Side side ship? Or are all three ships main ships. Name of the manga wouldn't really check out in that case though. Hmmmm.
