I'm Not a Villainess!! Just Because I Can Control Darkness Doesn't Mean I'm a Bad Person! - Vol. 1 Ch. 2

It's too bad that Claudia "Michael Jackson'd" herself later in the story kind of trivialized the story of overcoming 'racism'

@Merilirem sure

@Desuka Please don't put so much around the spoiler. It makes people guess what you said inside the spoiler. I have been right more often than not thanks to context clues and thus the spoiler tag was effectively useless.

Please just put the entire thing inside the spoiler tag and say its a spoiler.

If you don't want your daughter to destroy the kingdom like the story then you just need to give her a plenty and strong love until she can surprise even a despair situation

The Frozen school of parenting. Some people shouldn't be parents, and really, really shouldn't be parents of superpowered children who can destroy the country.

wow almost everyone is an asshole (duke and duchess is lesser asshole while butler is naisu ossan and liam might be nicest to claudia)
incest is wincest go for liam go for incest route
scare that she'll destroy the world??
she will if she not reincarnator because no one fucking love her except liam lmao(i mean love without condition)

@Reimos true, but it's pretty common for people to take the wrong thing from an old story. I mean the historical oppression of Jews by Christians is a prime example.

lets see, isolate an individual, call them all sorts of horrible things, berate them
you see, the answer is clear as day, what we need is
Common Sense Spirit King Control Laws

Why does her skin look much lighter on the cover art than it is described in the first chapter? I understand that it's hard to show slightly dark skin in black & white without it looking darker than intended but one of the maids says "She was born with the Dark Spirit King's protection, after all. Just look at her hair and her eyes, even her skin... It's all so dark." So is her skin darker or lighter? I probably should've asked this last chapter though.

"All right, the first time we ostracized a well meaning dark arts user, it didn't work, but THIS TIME"

I don't think that the mom was this nice in the novel, though tbf it's been weeks since I read that chapter

@Leo80221: Her skin is darker than anyone else in the country, but it's not like African-level dark skin. To the people of the country she's born in, it's unnaturally dark. To readers it just looks like she has a full-body tan.

@churrystar You should read it. It's short only one volume.

Not everyone is bad plus
Fairy magic only works inside the kingdom and starts losing it powers and the connection to your fairy the longer your outside the kingdom.

PS
The skin color change doesn't happen until near the end of the book. After she has already been excepted and an unsuspected consequence of an event that happens to her.

So, asshole king and country drive a guy, that just saved them from a tyrant, to suicide.
He curses them because, well, they deserve it.
Then a girl saves them so, let's give her name to our country cause she's cute and sweep under a rag our past mistakes! It's fun!

@lupus_in_fabula :
sounds like Asia, well humanity in general, but their concept of "Face" tends to be worse for never admitting a mistake or flaw. and whitewashing your ancestors actions.
