i swear there’s like 2 villainess stories where the heroine is actually a decent human being, or is smart enough to realize the reason that the previous heroine was loved so much because she was a good person on top of having affiliations with light magic and getting good test scores.

@Riger Yeah...that's basically it, I think.
But also, thinking about people as not people with feelings is almost textbook sociopathy, and Isekai in general tends to use this for "villain heroes" because that's what video games are.

Man though. It looks like basically everyone forgot that this Isekai world is based on a book, not an Otome game. Definitely shows what we all prolifically read.
Of course, the fact that it's a story makes Amelia even dumber, since it's a further deviation from the video game jank logic of "Input A -> Output B" mentality.

Looks like the author wanted to make our antagonist and her supporters outrageously dumb.. It's typical in a lot of isekais, but that just makes everything so one dimensional.
