I mean, aside from the flak Maise took the last few chapters about not washing her hair, there's always gonna be done days where ppl don't feel like being as physical/cuddly as usual.
Some stories might not write that stuff in, and Yse is also a super possessive ML
but from a real world standpoint he's gonna need to learn that sometimes backing off is the best love language, and that "not today" might not be about him/their relationship
