Imadoki no Wakai Mon wa - Vol. 1 Ch. 3 - Humans are beings that grow through failure!

man this chief is great,it sucks there arent many good ones as him these days

@Hollow7F It's not like there are no people as good as the chief (or even better) in the real world. However, there are a lot of people who seem to like to blame other generation. The good thing to do is to be strict for teaching purpose and not just to lay blame.

How the heck can Chief NOT like shrimp, festivals, and hot springs? That last one especially, since it's so innocuous and rare, even in Japan (unless you live in a place with hot springs tourism) to partake in.

@doopington could be the smell, hot springs are said to be followed with a sulfur smell anything but that is a mystery to me.

Actually if i see a shit ton of couples at festivals like hell i would want to go to one.

Doesn't like hotsprings? I see I see, He must be a yakuza with a huge tattoo on his back!

@Doopington I hear you, my friend. I can't fathom not liking any of those. To me, shrimp, festivals, & hot springs are the non-negotiable holy trinity of required elements to any version of paradise. Other than this little flaw, Chief is a totally righteous dude. And if Mugita gets any cuter, I'm in serious trouble.

@BCS It's already been mentioned in a previous chapter that he's married and that he has a daughter. Remember when he asked the mc to teach him how to use LINE because his daughter wanted him to have it so that they could use it together?

An aside about apologizing to clients:

I read a New Yorker article about companies that rent out actors to pose as relatives, etc. For instance, there's a woman who is divorced. She hires a man to pose as her husband, to show up as a married couple to social and school functions, for the sake of her daughter.
But another use is to hire someone to pose as a worker who must apologize to a client. If a particular worker might not be able to look properly contrite, it might harm relations between the company and the client, so they hire an actor to do the job. Or, the worker might hire someone to pose as his supervisor during the apology meeting. The fake supervisor will harshly berate the worker, and even slap or hit them, to make the client feel sympathetic toward the worker, and agree not to further pursue action against the company.
