It makes quite a bit of sense not to go to the Ye household. At this point you'd think people are keeping on eye on the Ye household, so the MC going there all bloody would be noticed and recorded. If that info was combined with investigations by the cultivator police, they would inevitably notice the dude appeared in that condition soon after that one corrupt(?) cultivator died. It wouldn't take a Sherlock or Derrick to want to learn if the incidents are connected.

The best parts of this chapter were Huahua's reactions, though.
