Oh hey another Ichihaya series! I think this is one of my fav series aside from the twin one where one of them is in a coma.
So basically she doing it on purpose to get her closer to older brother by making herself fall from stairs intentionally which is a very stupid move for me.
If she wants get closer to him, she shouldn't take extreme move like that because that will cause her brother feel guilty from what he said before.
Actually, that kind of damage she get from that usually results in coma or permanent memory lost due her tissue brain damaged so badly but she still remember some of her memories which is weird for me.
I have same cases when my nephew was falling from 2nd floor stairs when he was walking around but he get stumbled and falling from stairs with head 1st and he lost so much blood, we were very worried about his conditions and we take him to ICU immediately. His life is saved but we got worst news : he lost all his memories due his brain got severe damage and he cant remember himself at all which is a huge blow to his family.

If she didn't expect to survive, she can killed herself but not from falling from stairs like that. Most people still survived from that kind of fall.

@monkey123 You are really dont know what kind of small head injury can cause fatal one.
If it was from sharp objects, you can almost guaranteed that one cause fatal.
But from blunt objects is very different story, it rarely cause fatal injuries due it didnt deliver enough force to damage organs and tissues with most of them can be healed naturally.
If you are falling from wooden stairs, you rarely get fatal wounds that caused to death. But its different story from ceramic, cement or metal stairs which guaranteed fatal injuries.

The main reason why I say the stairs is made from woods is because their usual habits back in 70-80s where manga is become popular and they always make a house with wooden stairs, not from cement/ceramic stairs because that kind of stairs only very popular in Europe background.
And the other important reason why they made wooden stairs is cheap and safer than cement stairs which is more expensive and dangerous especially for kids and elders which is more likely to fall. You always see that stairs (wooden stairs) in normal manga and hentai manga, but cement or ceramic stairs only can be found in apartements or Europe background only because they are are very popular for PERMANENT buildings.
